Al ser aprobado oficialmente durante tres reales órdenes y por el número de reediciones que alcanza (7 ed.), se puede decir que tuvo gran alcance y repercusión. Las influencias que se observan son las de Rendu, De Gerando, Mr. Gauthey y Pestalozzi, sobre todo. Consta de tres partes: 1) Educación (Física, Intelectual, Moral y Religiosa); 2) Instrucción y 3) La escuela (Organización, local..). Editado en cartoné, papel sepia, letra tipo 10 reducida. No existen distintas páginas con la primera edición.
